Amical supports 100+ languages through Whisper, covering most spoken languages worldwide.

How It Works

Whisper automatically detects the language you're speaking. You can also explicitly set a language in Settings → Dictation to improve accuracy for a specific language.

Supported Languages

Whisper supports 100+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, and many more.

Mixed-language dictation is supported — you can switch between languages within the same session. Language detection applies per transcription.

Tips for Best Results

  • Set your primary language explicitly for faster, more accurate transcription
  • Use a larger Whisper model (Medium or above) for non-English languages
  • Cloud models generally perform better for less common languages
